This project all started with the passion and determination of renowned ceramicist Kate Malone MBE and Inspire Board Member, Neale Graham.

The project aims to provide as many children and Young People as possible with the opportunity to access clay / pottery and benefit from the huge health and wellbeing benefits that this art medium can bring alongside developing an array of fine motor and artistic skills that will hopefully give them both a creative outlet and a passion to express themselves through clay.

Since the introduction of Fired Up 4, over 250 young people at Inspire, Chorley Youth Zone and Wigan Youth Zone have experienced pottery, (many for the first time), an amazing achievement that has only been possible thanks to your truly wonderful support from this project!

From modelling, throwing and even sculpture, young people are discovering confidence, having fun and beginning a journey to nurture previously undiscovered talents and even utilising those skills to achieve national qualifications!

Kate Malone helps young Inspire member Tiana, aged 9 to use her creativity and get stuck into pottery.
